jim and casper

at the refuge

sunday, september 16th at 5:30pm

a believer, an atheist, an unlikely friendship. jim and casper go to church. frank conversation about faith, churches & well meaning christians

we are so excited to have jim henderson and matt casper at the refuge on sunday september 16th.

we are also hosting them at several other locations around denver for the weekend (CU boulder on friday the 14th, at pathways church temple event center on saturday the 15th).

jim is director of off the map, an organization committed to doable evangelism, and matt is an athiest who traveled around the country with jim last summer, giving his honest view of his church experiences. it is a beautiful friendship, where two sides can disagree but because of love, have an ongoing friendship and dialogue. we are hosting them at several different venues over that weekend, to give others in denver a chance to experience their conversation. this is not a debate between christianity and atheism; rather, it is a way for both sides to express their experiences. this will be a really interactive time and we would like to extend the invitation to as many friends as possible across the denver metro area.

from the back jacket:

"is this what Jesus told you guys to do?" light shows, fog machines, worship bands, offering plates--is this what Jesus intended? atheist matt casper wants to know.
