during our july sunday gatherings we spent time nurturing and
developing community life together at the refuge.
NOTE: refuge baseball game as a community--for this sunday, if you want to go to the rockies-padres game at 1:05, someone has
offered to buy tickets for the refuge family for any that want to go. the game will be followed by a steven curtis
chapman/michael w. smith concert & testimony by david dravecky. please rsvp if you want to come (kids included!) by tuesday

2nd annual refuge creative artists showcase

we are excited to host our 2nd annual end of summer creative arts evening at the refuge, coming up sunday august 17th. this will
be a chance for all creative artists from any medium--music, art, photography, writing, drama, dance, comedy--across ages &
abilities to share work from a christian worldview. submission deadline is august 3rd.

new ways of living out our faith in Jesus in a changing world. the refuge has gone to off the map the past two
years in seattle & are excited to be a part of pulling off this regional conversation. spread the word!
one of the highest values at the refuge is community, life lived together. to us, church was never about coming every week to get a fix and then going home. it was a commitment to really knowing each other, sharing burdens, meeting needs, encouraging each other on the journey. we hope everything we do cultivates community, but for the next few weeks we will spend some extra time & energy developing life “together.”
